This is honestly the worst piece of furniture I’ve ever bought and attempted to put together. Avoid at all costs, there is much better options.

I found instructions a bit difficult to follow. Usually the Ikea picture instructions are fine, be these – not so much.
The biggest issue is fitting the legs. The diagram makes it look simple, but despite punching holes in the base using the template that was supplied, I found it impossible to get the screws into the unit. Impossible.
I am not weak or feeble but the self tapping screws will not go through the material of this cabinet. I made sure to whack the bradawl several times, but no dice. You need to be Superman to get those screws in!
The bedside cabinet is on the floor with holes in the base, and legs are back in the box.
I will probably try again another day but this time I’ll use a very small drill bit to make some holes.

It’s a nice piece of furniture, especially for a tight space. However, a bit disappointed that the connection between the pieces is only from the back, so if you need to move it to clean or whatever, it feels it might break or you need to carry it from the bottom.

Overall I like this bit of furniture. I see lots of people have complained about the legs but I found this the simplest part of this. If you use a dowel to create the beginning of a screw entry, the screws should go in ok. I found putting the rest of it together a proper fiddle. The instructions & fittings are poor. It does look good once made & its ideal for what I wanted, but it’s a real faff.

An abysmal piece of furniture to construct, resulting in very visable damage to the wood and damage to both mine and my partners arms and hands. My partner is an engineer and stopped his adequately constructing a large Pax unit to help me with what I thought would be a simple push together bedside unit that in reality I just could not get together – the instructions are laughable and if you don’t notice the very hidden number ‘1’ on one of the wooden panels, the torture that follows isnt worth it & you may aswell skip straight to the part where you sling it in the bin. It also has NO connecting brackets included, nor does the listing online mention this, so you’re left with two seemingly unrelated wooden loose cubes and some feet that you also need a drill and a miracle to fit. It’s insanely expensive too.

It looks like they’ve tried to make it customisable and easy to assemble but the result is an annoying mess. There’s a lot of cheap plastic pieces – that in other IKEA furniture would be wooden dowels and screws – that you’re supposed to push together by hand but you just can’t because they’re too stiff. Some you can use a hammer, but the position and shapes mean that doesn’t always work. Looking at other reviews these parts seem pretty hit and miss on how hard they are to do.
The attempt at being easy and friendly flies out the window when it turns out you need a drill to pre-drill your own screw holes.
The connector between the two cubes is flimsy and only functions to keep the pieces in line horizontally, so you need to be careful moving it.
Overall, not what I expect from IKEA at all and I’ll be avoiding EKET from now on.
At least it looks as expected and will work fine now it’s assembled and in place.

I don’t understand why people are complaining so much. It’s very obvious all the pieces you need to pick up. It was really easy to assemble and it’s been really durable.
